Job Description

The role of Vice President for Credit Risk is to provide credit oversights and investment approvals on all the fixed income investments, and middle office operations for the fixed income investments. The role also covers the risk oversights for the fixed income investments: 

• representing Asia in the Credit Committee, and exercising individual transaction authority in approving all credit cases covering all fixed income investments;
• acting as a senior member of the Firm in risk management, including reviewing credit rating model, credit rating methodology, stress testing, credit policies, sector concentration, country risk, provisioning/impairment losses, and credit measurements and other ad hoc credit related projects;
• leading the risk management team in problem loan management, investment compliance, financial risk management, and portfolio risk monitoring;
• representing Credit Risk management in managing the internal policy and procedure execution and providing support in operation control and treasury risk support;
• managing credit teams and the credit operation teams;
• providing solid support to regular business development and credit update to CEO, in credit risk policy formulation, investment guidelines, credit process procedures and stress testing.

Requirements

• Solid experience (minimum 15 years) in credit experience including credit oversight and approval function covering both large corporates and financial institutions in Asia;
• Experience in leading the front office in the credit due diligence and providing direction and guidance to different investment teams;
• Effective communication with all levels of stakeholders, and capability to deliver well-respected view and credit decision;
• Strong knowledge in credit analytical skills and thorough understanding in enterprise risk management;
• Well organized and presentable;
• Fluency in English and Chinese (writing and spoken Mandarin).
